Workskills Helps the Homeless!

Salvation Army Winter Appeal

Workskills Tasmania has donated $10,000 to help the homeless through the Salvation Army’s Street 2 Program this winter.

Using the money donated, Workskills staff and Salvation Army staff went on a shopping spree at Anaconda, Cambridge and put together a selection of items to make up “Homelessness Kits”. The kits included swags, sleeping bags and warm, weather resistant clothing like water-proof jackets with hoods, polar fleece jumpers, winter socks, beanies and gloves.

Anaconda Cambridge sourced a number of appropriate items and discounted them heavily to enable the Workskills donation to go even further!

We are proud to support The Salvation Army in their work to help the homeless in Tasmania this winter.
